Welcome!
We are glad you are here! Southpointe Kids Ministry is excited to have your children join us for Kid’s Church. We have a fun filled service where the Bible is taught, Jesus is the center and fun is had by all. Led by Marta VanGerwen, the Kid’s Ministry Team looks forward to welcoming your children!
The Kids Ministry check-in station is located through the Sanctuary and in the SP Kids foyer. Please check your child in before dropping them off at the beginning of service. (Look for the signs located in the Sanctuary to direct you) Ushers and greeters are on hand to help!
Mission:
The mission of Southpointe Children’s Ministry is to teach kids the transforming power of God’s Word. For each child to encounter God’s
presence through worship, prayer and teaching. To help kids learn and experience for themselves the reality of a loving Savior, and the rewards of being a disciple of Christ.
Vision:
Southpointe Kid’s Ministry is dedicated to pouring the love of Christ into each child that walks through our Kid’s Church doors. To greatly encourage them to discover for themselves the wonderful blessing of a
friendship with Jesus. To embrace Him as their Savior, because that is what will carry them all throughout their lives.
Goals:
That each child that walks through our Kid’s Church doors feels welcomed, loved and valued.
- To teach God’s Word in interactive ways that helps kids engage and have fun learning about the great treasure - The Bible.
For children to experience God’s love and presence, and to help them learn the blessings of a relationship with Jesus.
To embrace every child’s unique story, and support their needs as a dedicated team.
That they can make new friends and experience the great joy of the Kid's Church Community.
To create a fun environment that excited the children, and encourages their imagination by way of singing, acting, arts and crafts, toys and games that promote interactive fun with one another.
For kids to love coming to church!
We need volunteers!
We are in need of volunteers to serve at our Sunday or Mid-Week services. If you are interested in helping in Children’s Ministry, please request a volunteer packet below. You can serve as much or as little as you like, once or twice a month. Maybe God is calling you for such a time as this to help reach kids with the hope of Jesus.

After you have filled out the Volunteer Application you return it to Shelly in our office. You can do that by way of email or bring it to the church office.

NURSERY
0-2 Years old
Our Nursery staff, led by Debbie Alderson, loves ministering to our smallest church members! All volunteers are background checked and receive the mandated child safety training per California requirements. Check-in is located in the nursery lobby (look for the Nursery sign in the lobby). Ushers are on hand if you need help.
We also have a cry room and a nursing mothers room located in the Nursery where you are welcome to change a diaper, nurse or just sit during service with your baby.
