Fudgy Rocky Road Brownies
Brownie:
1, 17 oz package Ghirardelli Walnut Brownie Mix
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
Rocky Road Topping:
2 oz cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 oz unsweetened baking chocolate
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 325°F. For Brownie: In medium bowl, stir together Ghirardelli Walnut Brownie Mix, water, oil and egg until moistened (about 40 strokes). Spoon batter into lightly greased 8x8x2-inch pan. Bake 38-42 minutes. For Rocky Road Topping: Place cream cheese, milk, butter and baking chocolate in medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and stir until smooth. Stir in marshmallows and walnuts. Immediately spread over hot brownies. Cool thoroughly and cut into squares. Store covered in the refrigerator.
Makes 16 brownies.
