Music and Creative Arts
For those who are not musically inclined, the Music Ministry is always looking for people to partner up in our multimedia area of ministry.
Our AVL (Audio Visual Lighting) technicians insure that our worship services are enhanced by skilled operation of our audio/visual/lighting systems. On-the-job training is provided. The ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly is desired. Most ministry members cross-train in several areas.
Audio
The Audio Team is responsible for the set-up, monitoring and adjustment of all auditorium audio equipment as well as other audio systems throughout the facility. Their role is to support the band, speaker and all on-stage personnel as they lead or communicate to the congregation on Sunday morning. They focus on facilitating worship, communication, encouraging listening and removing distractions. This team is also responsible for audio support for not only Southpointe service but also any special events that may be held here.(if available)
Video & Computer Graphics
The Video and CG team prepare and operate the equipment necessary to display videos and any graphics (i.e. worship lyrics, Bible verses, Powerpoint Announcements, etc.). They focus on enhancing worship and the message, creating visual appeal, and supporting the communicator.
Lighting
The Lighting Team prepares and operates the equipment used to light both the stage and the auditorium on Sunday mornings. They focus on illuminating properly, creating atmosphere and focusing attention.
